This newly renovated 1895 church with the original stain glass windows and hardwood floors has been modernized with a coastal décor and is perfect for those who wish to be away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds but still be in walking distance to the beach. It's central location near the hub of all 3 Atlantic Provinces allows you to enjoy all that New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia have to offer. Experience the Maritime Provinces' beauty and friendliness! Located within walking distance from the wonderful sandy beaches of Cape Tormentine! Cleanliness and your comfort are our top priorities! Blue Anchor Getaway is a self-catering and self-housekeeping cottage. Our cottage has two floors: On the Upper Level you will find two bedrooms and lounge area for relaxing, reading, or playing board games. (Access to loft by stairs) On the Main floor you will find an open concept design for the kitchen, eating area, and living room. There is also a master bedroom and a separate bathroom (shower (no tub), sink and toilet). The kitchen is fully equipped kitchen and will comfortably seat 6 people. Three original church steps separate the section between the living room and kitchen/eating area. The cottage has been completely refinished to ensure comfort but the original stain glass windows and a couple of church pews have been kept. There have been a lot of renovations completed without destroying the authenticity of the church structure and the cottage is now equipped with all necessities to make your holiday a relaxing: •Flat screen TV •Satellite - Television •FREE Internet – WiFi •A BBQ for use in the yard •Ceiling fans •Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Kettle, Pots & Pans, Glasses Cutlery…etc... •Bathroom towels (Please bring your own beach towels) •Bedding and extra throw blankets. Guests may, if they wish, bring their own bedding. •Soap, Shampoo, Toilet Paper, Condition, Hairdryer, Iron •Playing Cards, Board games and Books for your enjoyment. Visitors have full access to cottage, deck, and yard. Just a short stroll and you have full access to the beach for long beach walks, swimming, sea glass collecting, or just to relax. If you are lucky to wake early you can watch the most beautiful sunrises over the waters of the Northcumberland Strait and Confederation Bridge. We will make arrangements to drop by to greet our guests, give the an overview of our place, and answer any specific questions. The property is located 1 hour from the Moncton International Airport and 2 hours from the Halifax International Airport Cape Tormentine is a village in southeastern New Brunswick. Where on route to PEI you will have the opportunity to visit Cape Jourimain Nature Centre, a hidden jewel of trails, beaches, spectacular scenery, and the best view you'll get of the Confederation Bridge. Cape Tormentine also offers convenient access to explore the many tourist attraction in the area; Hopewell Rocks, Fundy National Park, Shediac Lobster Festival, Parlee Beach, and so much more!!! During the summer months there are outdoor music festivals taking place in Cape Tormentine the Beach Music Festival is a weekend full of Country & Bluegrass for all to enjoy!
