About Hoedspruit Hoedspruit is a scenic 5-hour drive – via the Panorama Route – or a 1.5-hour flight from Johannesburg, and it possesses the perfect combination of small town charm, natural tranquility, and exciting activities to suit children and adults. There are first class safaris on offer in the Kruger Park, boat cruises on the Blyde River, fantastic hiking and mountain biking trails in the Drakensberg, hot-air balloon flights over the famous citrus orchards, rejuvenating spa treatments, excellent eateries, and craft beer and gin bars nearby. Hoedspruit can be as adventure-filled or as peaceful and serene as you’d like it to be; it has the perfect blend of old-school comfort and modern conveniences to cater for all sorts of holiday-makers.
