Gorgeous Double Room in 1850s Suffolk Cottage

Situated in Suffolk between Bury St Edmunds and Thetford, The Mill B&B is a home away from home for travelling professionals, nature lovers and outdoor sports nuts. We are ideally located for access to Lavenham, Snetterton and Euston Hall, as well as the Peddars' and Icknield Ways. The Mill dates from around 1850 and is an extension of our home. It is relaxed and comfortable, with all the touches you would expect from a high end B&B. You can rent a room or reserve The Mill B&B as a whole. Each of our rooms is individually decorated with a private en-suite shower room. The property is truly rural, so is a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life (although we do provide good wifi and a television in every room!). We live in a cottage next door, but The Mill is exclusively for guests, with its own living areas, carpark and entrance. As a guest at The Mill you will have access to a large shared living area, with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas and dining area with table for up to 8 people. You will also have access to a part of our garden which is reserved for Mill guests, as well as a private carpark. We are usually around the property and are always willing to help if needed. We provide a daily cleaning service in the communal spaces, but otherwise The Mill is yours to enjoy, privately. Breakfast is provided (if desired) but is not cooked or served by us. Help yourself! We are the only building within a mile so it is very quiet. The Mill is perfectly situated for easy access to several of Norfolk and Suffolks best attractions, including: Bury St Edmunds (15 mins), Thetford (10 mins), Lavenham (30 mins), Long Melford (30 mins), Ely (45 mins), Cambridge (45 mins), Newmarket (30 mins), Icknield and Peddars Ways (walk out of the door), Euston Hall (10 mins), Snetterton (25 mins) and Ickworth Park (20 mins). Greatbiking, running and hiking trails. There is little to no public transport from our door. However there are very regular trains from London and Peterborough to both Bury St Edmunds and Thetford. A taxi from either station takes ariund 10-15 minutes costs around £15. Taxis to and from events at Snetterton, Newmarket and Euston Hall are easily organised. We are located down rather a long track, off the main road. The track is in good condition but it is not tarmacked. There are four bedrooms in the property so unless you are renting all four, there is a chance you will be sharing the living, kitchen and dining areas with other guests. All rooms lock securely and all bathrooms are private.
