Historic 12th Century Chateau borders the river
The gite is located in the oldest part of the chateau and was originally a Donjon. In the 16th century the large stone staircase was added to access the 3 floors. Original 1m thick walls keep the house cool during the hot summers. 6 bedrooms, 4 doubles (2 ensuite) and 2 twin rooms. 2 family bathrooms, lounge & dining rooms both have doors to patio. Mature trees in the 20 acre grounds shelter many birds and other wildlife including deer and wild boar. The pool area provides a refreshing cool-down, or just somewhere to soak up the sun. A summer kitchen allows the family to bbq and al fresco dining. Badminton & boules sets are provided, and tennis courts can be booked in Latoue. There are many local walks through the woods in the local area and the Pyrenees are only 45 mins away. Historical Aurignac is 10mins away with shops and restaurants.
