Lovely Village situation, close to Coast and Mountains

The Apartment consists of a lounge, a well equipped kitchen , a double bedroom, a romantic dining room with panoramic views of the village and valley. An ensuite shower , and a large sunny terrace.. The apartment is full of character and is part of the village which is believed to be about 500 years old, with vaulted ceilings and characteristic stonework. In the lounge, a sofa bed, and chair convert to a bed giving maximum sleeping capacity of five. The south westerly facing terrace enjoys sunshine from mid morning to sunset. The Apartment is furnished in a mixture of contempory and rustic, and is constantly upgraded. The street outside is an atmospheric winding thoroughfare, only 2 metres at it's widest point. The village has two bars, three good restaurants and a pizzeria. The village of Airole is close to, the main road which leads to the sea at Ventimiglia, a 12 minute drive away. The ski resort of Limone is 40 minutes to the north. The location of the apartment is a rural village with all the advantages of hill walking, mountain scenery and great bars and restaurants, it is convenient for so many other attractions. San Remo, with its shops, nightlife, and events, such as the annual Jazz Festival, can easily be reached by road and public transport. Monaco with its Casino, glitzy clubs, Opera House and of course the F.1. Monaco Grand Prix are less than an hour away. Many people have stayed with us during the Monaco G.P. week and they have all stated that staying in the village, has not only saved them money, but also enhanced the whole experience. The village hosts the Italian Vespa Scooter Club national Rally in August, when Airole takes on a carnival atmosphere 200. Thomas, who runs The Bar Roya in the village square runs this annual event. Airole has a stong community spirit, and there are frequent events and extertainments in the summer months. It is a magical place and one which you have to visit in order to fully appreciate its lure. Many people come back to us year after year.
