Our home offers a working fireplace, chef's kitchen for cooking big meals, a deck for dinner surrounded by fireflies, a large living room to stretch out, and a cozy loft space to hide away and read. Take a step back in history and slow down from city life in our special home. A perfect place to unwind, write, read, and relax. The home is rustic and in a rural area, and is best suited to those with a streak of independence. We live in New York City and will be fully available via phone and email but won't be available in person. The town of Chatham is a charming village with shops, restaurants and a small movie theatre. 20 minutes away is the town of Hudson; filled with antique shops, NYTimes acclaimed restaurants and the Helsinki music venue. Great Barrington is a 30min drive away which offers many cultural highlights including the mahaiwe theatre, art galleries and fine (website hidden)21 artspace and Mac-Hayden theater are under 5 minutes drive and it's just a little further to the Won Dharma Center, Tanglewood, The Mount, and several sculpture parks. You'll need to have a car as there is no public transit in this rural area. Several towns and villages are within biking distance. If you are having friends and/or family meet you upstate, you can take Amtrak to Hudson but again someone in your group will need to have a car.
