Be the first to enjoy this newly renovated air conditioned lodge. The large open plan allows your group to relax family style. The convenient location one mile from the Lake Placid side of Saranac Lake allows easy access to skiing, hiking, golf, tennis courts, snowmobiling, boating, Olympic events, exploring Lake Placid or Saranac Lake's historic community. The large decks and plentiful parking make a great spot to stay put and enjoy our space as well. Welcome to Ray Brook! We are close to everything yet quiet and private. The well designed spacious house is a great place to have friends or family join you and enhance your vacation. There is plenty of room to spread out. Our base price is for 2 guests with an extra $25 charge for each additional guest. Please be sure to correctly enter the number of guests; per Airbnb children under 2 need not be listed. There is a large back deck overlooking meadow and wild forest affords plenty of privacy for relaxing or socializing. The rear deck is furnished with a gas grill, table with umbrella and chairs. The lodge is set back from the road the yard is a great space for the kids and dogs to play. The front deck has wide, gradual steps that allow easy access. You can pull right up alongside shallow steps in the front. There is a huge walk in bonus room downstairs. A full handicap access bathroom and curtained alcove with a queen bedroom flank the large living area with a pull out couch and picture window overlooking the back yard and forest. There is a laundry room with 2 sets of washers and dryers for your convenience. This is great place to crate your pet when away from the lodge. The large double doors open onto a crushed stone patio under the deck with a huge back yard. There is a new outside fire pit to sit and enjoy the Adirondack nights or just roast s'mores. You can pull your car within 30 feet of this door for easy access. Ideal for 2 families or several generations! We are happy to help with any questions or local information. Ray Brook is situated between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. The lodge is the first house on the right on Old Raybrook Road so its easy to find. The railroad bed is nearby for long walks or cross country skiing. The Saranac Lake Golf Course is a scant few miles away as is access to Haystack Mountain. Scarface Mountain in within walking distance too. Our lodge has a large parking area making it easy for those hauling a boat or snowmobile trailer. The house is just off Route 86 so its an easy drive to Whiteface Mountain or other Adirondack attractions. Enjoy the lodge spacious common areas as well as plenty of room to help the cook in the kitchen. An extra counter height kitchen table is perfect for puzzles or appetizers. Play cards at the large dining table or relax on the sofas to watch the game or a movie. Place settings for 12 make it a great house to have a big dinner or cozy up with just 2. The second bedroom boasts a bunk bed with a twin over a full mattress to easily accommodate 3. The queen sofa bed does not crowd the other couch and makes for a great common space. The downstairs with full bath is a great bonus area. It has a queen bed and also a queen sofa bed. There are curtains to make the sleeping area more private.
