Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen, a separate utility/cloakroom, a spacious dining room, and a really cosy, comfortable sitting room with an open fire and a table for a romantic dinner a deux. The garden runs to three sides of the house and is quite magical, with different 'rooms' to explore and enjoy. The whole property is surrounded by wooded farmland and is frequently visited by the local muntjac family for breakfast. Helhoughton is a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside, just south west of the market town of Fakenham, and about twenty minutes from the coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea. It is a great base for exploring this beautiful area of North Norfolk, perfect for walking and cycling, as well as visiting local attractions - Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Sculthorpe Hawk and Owl Trust, The Thursford Collection and Christmas Spectacular - and enjoying a day at nearby Fakenham Races!
