Light of Dorcol is a modern Belgrade downtown apartment located in the city center in one of the most beautiful Belgrade streets, Strahinjica Bana. Dorcol is the neighborhood where things happen and in the same time represents the oldest and the most prominent part of the city. It roughly can be divided in two sections, Gornji (or upper) Dorcol (formerly known as Zerek) and Donji (or lower) Dorcol, formerly called Jalija, which occupies the area all the way to the right bank of the Danube. The name of the neighborhood comes from Turkish words dört (four) and yol (road), literally meaning "four roads" or colloquially "intersection (of four roads)", "crossroads".
