Lovely 2 story cabin in quiet beautiful setting in Blue Ridge Mountains Owner lives in upper level Entire lower level with separate entrance for guests downstairs Consist of 3 bedrooms large sitting area with gas fireplace Large bath jetted tub separate shower. There is no kitchen available, but there is a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker available. When guest have over 4 people there will be a 20.00 cleaning fee for each additonal person. A warm, inviting home with no resemblance to a hotel room. Owner does not allow pets, and keeps accommodations comfortable and clean. The surrounding area offers gently rolling mountains near the second oldest river in the world, New River, for kayaking, tubing, fishing, etc. The land where cabin is located backs into 1,796 acres of Crooked Creek Wildlife management area which offers excellent fishing for both stocked and native trout only a couple miles from cabin. In this same area is an equestrian parking lot and riding trails. Crooked Creek offers hunting opportunities with deer, turkey, and squirrel. Old fields provide good rabbit hunting also. The wildflowers are incredible in this area which makes for great hiking, photography and bird watching. Wildlife viewers will find an array year round. The New River Trail is easily accessed for running, biking, and hiking. The surrounding area offers great backpacking as well There are nice vineyards scattered close by: Mt Vale Vineyard, Shelton Vineyards, Chateau Morrisette, and Villa Appalaccia. Guest will have easy access to the cabin with a half mile drive from the main road. There will be rock columns with Eagle's Nest Plaques guiding you into the two story cabin. Guest who rent one bedroom will actually enjoy a suite with a living room with gas fireplace, a desk, Wi-Fi, and a dining table. There is a microwave and refrigerator. When renting two or three of bedrooms it is the same having access to all of downstairs consisting of two large bedrooms with queen beds and beautiful views. There is a third bedroom with twin beds. There will be a large sitting area furnished with leather sofa, recliner, and loves seat with gas fireplace. There is a desk and Wi-Fi is available. There is a third smaller bedroom with twin beds. There is one large bath with stand up shower and tub with jets. One of the bedrooms has a built in granite dressing table with mirror. Owner doesn't allow pets. You will find nice accommodations with a clean environment and we strive to keep it that way for future guest in our home. Your stay will resemble a hotel in no way; we truly want to extend hospitality and make your stay enjoyable and beyond your expectations. (Please note you are sharing an Airbnb with a permanent homeowner. Please be considerate of noise after 9:00 pm. Your host will be available on most occasions to assist you in any way possible. You will have access to a small refrigerator and microwave. There is no TV downstairs. We don't feel this is anything you will miss as you enjoy all the surrounding beauty and wildlife you will find outside your window. Deer and wild turkey frequent this home on a regular basis. There will also be a charming chocolate lab, Lady Godiva to welcome you. Please come and be our guest! There are scattered private summer homes inside this neighborhood. It has both forested and open fields on the property including a pond. We are less than 10 miles from Walmart and eating areas. We have two small towns off hwy 58 Galax and Hillsville Va.
