Downeast Maine log cabin
Our log cabin in a sunny clearing in the woods is rustic and peaceful. It comfortably sleeps 10 and features a large kitchen and dining area. Private shared access to Graham Lake for great fishing and boating. We're also less than an hour from Acadia National Park. CABIN DETAILS Our log cabin in the woods is tucked away in a sunny clearing. The gravel roads you drive on to get to the property are passable by any type of vehicle and are well-maintained year round. There are a few small cabins that surround the larger one that is featured...these smaller cabins will most likely be locked and vacant. From time to time my husband and I might be staying in one of the small cabins. We are always happy to answer any questions about the cabin or give recommendations for things to do in the area. But we want all guests to enjoy the property as their own and you'll hardly know we're there! RUSTIC/MODERN Our place is rustic but has a lot of modern features. First, the "rustic" nature...all floors are painted plywood and there are a few walls and ceilings that are studs and plywood. The "modern" features are pretty standard things you would expect anywhere...hot water, indoor toilet and shower, power, tv with DVD player, wifi, gas stove, refrigerator, electric baseboard heat, ceiling fans, etc. SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS The cabin currently has beds for 10 people. The main floor has a bunk bed in the downstairs bedroom. The large sleeping loft has one regular queen bed, two queen platform beds, and two twin mattresses on the floor. Please bring your own bedding...3 sets of queens and 4 sets of twins should cover everything to accommodate 10. All towels are provided. As our guests you have full and private access to the main log cabin. The cabin has seven wooded acres so guests are free to hike around a bit. We have a fire ring and a gas outdoor grill for your use as well. Feel free to use our camp chairs around the fire pit or on the big front porch. We own shared private access to Graham Lake that is a short drive/walk from the cabin. Graham Lake is a large 9000 acre lake with plenty of fishing for smallmouth bass, white perch, chain pickerel, landlocked salmon, and brook trout. You may use our parking pass for the Beech Hill Pond beach. This is a gorgeous crystal clear natural lake about a fifteen minute drive from the cabin. My husband, Josh, and I are often out of town working when we have guests staying in the cabin. We are always available by phone or text. If we do happen to be in town when you are visiting, we stay in a separate cabin on the property. We are there for you if you have any questions, but want our guests to feel the freedom to use the cabin and all outdoor space as your own. We have two young kids and an energetic friendly dog, Blaze, that you may meet as well. Some of our local favorites...
