Summerhouse at the riverside

La Gaume, A beautiful region to discover just cross the border of the most southern part of Belgium. A great area for hiking, ornithology, fishing, visiting historic sites, yoga & meditation, painting,... We offer a nice & relaxing stay at our summer house in Villecloye. The accommodation is basic but cosy and has all you need for having a great holiday. The lovely weather ( thanks to micro-climate) invites you to enjoy being outside all day and on the terrace in the evening. Inside the old but completely renovated house the temperature is refreshing. You will occupy the complete house. This means the living part that has been renovated and has been our summerhouse for the past 10 years. Our house is situated closeby the river (l'Othain) and is the last house in a row of houses on a square place. The garden has different levels and has no fences (only a green hedge) We have access to our neighbours garden next to our house en his big orchard with pond wich has no fence either! It is quite common for this region that part of gardens are spread over diferent areas and sometimes cross the neighbours property. We get along well with our neighbours, we help if necessary but respect each others privacy. Small village in the countryside at 2 km from Montmédy Montmédy is situated in the Departement La Meuse, (Website hidden by Airbnb) great to walk up the track on the hill to the beatiful upper-city Inside the Walls of the huge citadelle . The view over the hilly landscape is just stunning! Back downstairs you can also walk back to the village of Villecloye! It is only 2 kms! Or you can have dinner and tastes some local dishes in the restaurant Le Panoramique which is situated just next to the bridge in Montmédy. You need to reserve your places! We have a private parking space for 2 cars on our property left down the small road to the river , so you don't have to park your car next to our neighbours cars on the public place. Because of the river closeby and the pond on my neighbours property without any fence, kids must be good swimmers! Sorry, there is no TV or internet connection in the house. In our house you come to disconnect from your daily routine and you "switch off" for a moment! We have plenty of books, games and lot's of good music to listen to.
