History welcomes you and invites you to enjoy this third floor space. A cozy bedroom with nooks and crannies make it special. The antique headboard and original bathroom corner sink all make you think of times past. Head on through the sunny living room, the old floors creaking beneath your feet. A great place to longe with a book or relax in the evening with some quality netflix time. Enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee perched at the window bar. The original windows form what we call “the tower”. A lovely place to watch the world go by. The kitchenette has a stove, mini fridge and microwave. There is a great leather chair and couch with a tv/with bluray player for watching movies. The queen bed features an antique brass headboard from Italy and a memory foam mattress. The bathroom was just remodeled, however we were able to keep the original tub and corner sink. Most of the walls feature a lime wash treatment and many of the furniture pieces are collected items. All things we loved about our European travels. Amenities — Comfy memory foam queen bed with antique brass headboard Lime-washed walls and furnishings collected over time Old wood floors and marble tiles Kitchenette with full sized stove Mini fridge stocked with local brews High ceilings and original windows Luxurious towels and linen duvet Window bar with stools Original bathroom corner sink Large TV with blu ray player. Things to note - No photoshoots without prior permission This flat is on the third floor and requires climbing 3 sets of stairs. This is a downtown location - there will be street noise and we also have other guests in the house. We strive to be respectful of one another, but understand that noise will happen! Parking is on the street and detailed instructions are sent before check in. It is free every night after 6 and on the weekends. Our home was built by Return E. Fahnestock in the 1880's. When we purchased it in 2008, it was in a state of serious disrepair. We have slowly been bringing it back to life over the last 12 years. This flat is named after the Fahnestock's grandaughter, Elizabeth. History welcomes you and invites you to enjoy this third floor space. A cozy bedroom with nooks and crannies make it special. Guests will enter the house through the very heavy iron doors original to the house. You will pass through the foyer with an original mural (hopefully to be restored one day!) and up the main staircase all the way to the top and the door is marked with a 3. Our family lives on the first floor and will be available if needed. We do have a separate back entrance, so it's possible you won't see us at all. We love our neighborhood! We are in easy walking distance to all things downtown. We provide a binder in the flat with all our favorite places to eat. And we sure do love to eat! The TV does not have an antennae, meaning it can only be used with the bluray player to watch movies on dvd or through netflix and other apps. Guests will have access to our netflix account using a guest profile. Street parking in front of the house is free all weekend long and 6pm - 8am weekdays. It is metered parking during the weekdays at the rate of $1.50/hour. Some of the nearby side streets(Lemon and Lime) have free parking and would be available anytime. This is a third floor apartment and requires you to climb a lot of stairs.
