The apartment on the first floor is suitable for up to 6 people: about 120 square meters: living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, shower / WC, telephone, DSL, WLAN. The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment is heated with central heating. In the cool season, a tiled stove guarantees additional warmth. In the park-like garden with old trees you can also make camp fires with children & tents. In the garden there is a fire bowl and there is firewood. There is a double bedroom and another bedroom with two bunk beds. In front of the house is a guest parking for a car and a covered bike rack. TIPS for activities: - Just relax in absolute silence and let your mind wander. One in the fist floor and one in the 2nd floor. You would rent the one in the fist floor. The apartment is completely separate. There are no shared facilities. You also have the entire garden. When you are here and there is any fruit on the treys or in the garden - just serve yourself! On the terrace there is a table for 6 and the possibility to make some BBQ. In the other apartment there is a young guy renting long term. - Very quiet - no problem at all.... There is lots of space for parking on the property. Concerning what to do in the area: - Bamberg is very close - very beautiful (world heritage! and the perfect combination of touristis & locals). So Bamberg is one of the most beautiful towns in the north of Bavaria. - For kids there is a fun-park in about 45min driving distance. (Freizeitpark Geiselwind) - just (Hidden by Airbnb) for it to have an idea. - There are lots of public pools in Germany. We recommend close to the apartment "Obermainthere Staffelstein" It is has thermal water and is a huge area - it is adequate for adults and children. But there are also other options, for example a public swimming area at a natural river (Hainbad Bamberg) or a village well known for thermal water as well (Bad Kissingen). The closest public swimming pool is in Eltmann - 4km from here - there are also the shops / supermarkets etc. or the regular shopping) If you are interested in shopping the best thing is to visit Bamberg down town. - In July/August there are beer and wine-fest all over - wine fest is really a must see - we recommend for example the wine fest in the villages "Zeil" or "Sand". There are just about 15min to drive. On top of that Zeil is also a very beautiful village. (if you (Hidden by Airbnb) for "franken-bierland" you will find a page with a Kalender for all Beer-Fests and a lot more Activities around beer. - We recommend also to visit "Rothenburg Ob der Tauber" - a village very touristic (middle age)- also about 1h by car. - Of course there are many castles and fortresses around - all worth to have a day trip. (e.g. Schloss Pommersfelden (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) min by car), Castle of Würzburg (45min), The Veste Coburg, or Coburg Fortress, is one of Germany's largest castles ( 45 min), The Margravial Opera House of Bayreuth (UNESCO World Heritage Site) (54 min). Nürnberg... We have a key-box in front of the main-entrance. So the check in is 24h.... There is a little lake in the garden. Please take care of them if they are not able to swim. On the ground floor we have a laundry room with dryer and washing machine.
