Nice holiday home with sauna
Nice holiday home in a quiet village in the foothills of the French Ardennes In northern France at only 250 km from Breda lies the village of Iviers in a rolling landscape full of endless vistas, grasslands with or without cows, sheep or horses, yellow rapeseed fields or waving corn, winding rivers and beautiful forests. On the main village road, opposite the church is a wonderful holiday home that has been restored with a feeling for detail and is tastefully decorated. For a friendly price you can enjoy a few days or weeks. There is a small front garden from where you can see the village life and a large backyard where you can sit in the sun or shade. A part of the garden is fenced so that a dog can walk around freely (1 or 2 dogs are welcome). The house has a cozy living room with sitting area and dining table. There is an open kitchen with five burner stove. The interior is simple, but you will find everything you need to cook. There is also tea and coffee for the first few days and oil vinegar sugar salt spices ... ... I really appreciate it if you fill it up when you make it. Downstairs is a spacious bedroom with a comfortable double bed and on the first floor a sleeping area with two single beds and the possibility to add a third bed. When you arrive, all beds are made. The house is therefore suitable for up to five people. In the bathroom you will find besides a shower, toilet and sink also an infrared sauna and a large pile of towels. There is no wifi and no television, but there are games, books and a record player from the sixties with a bucket of singles. The house is heated with a wood stove which ensures a pleasant warmth and a lot of fun. You are most welcome! Iviers is just in the Aisne department on the border with the Ardennes. The region is called the Thiérache. It is an agricultural area with still small farmers, endless narrow roads and many cows that are all outside and not always on the good side of the fence. You will see rolling fields with grain, corn and rapeseed, the latter of which yields spectacular yellow views in May. There are forests and many small villages where the chickens scurry on the heirs. It is all less 'neat' than in the Netherlands. Nature lovers can indulge in the enormous amount of birds, plants, animals and animals. It is special that you can find something so close to what no longer exists in the Netherlands: true silence, inky darkness and beautiful starry skies. You can walk or cycle endlessly here, although you need trained leg muscles for the latter. There are signposted walking routes, one of which passes the gite. The region is known for its fortified churches, of which there are dozens in the area. One of them is the church in the village of Jeantes 13 km away, in this church the Dutch artist Charles Eijk has painted beautiful wall paintings and stained-glass windows. Consumed elekta is charged afterwards a 0. 25 cents per Kwh Upon arrival I would like to receive a deposit of 100 € which you will get back if you leave minus the consumed electricity. The wood stove is included in the rent.
