Base rate for 1 person per night (PPN), thereafter R250 PPN night. Comfortable country cottage, situated on a working farm with arts centre, totally off the grid, eco-friendly, solar power, gas stove and gas geyser , fire place, covered braai, intermitent WIFI, alarm & security installed. Beautiful place to re-connect with nature, open spaces & big skies. Trout dams on property, space for long walks, hikes & mountain biking. 8km on a dirt road from Machadodorp, 30km to Dullstroom. This cosy cottage is located on a family farm alongside a working performing arts center. The cottage is light and airy with open plan living area with an open wood fireplace, with beautiful valley and mountain views. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, one with a shower and one with a bath. The cottage is equipped with all cooking, braai and eating utensils. As the cottage is off the grid and relies off solar power there is no microwave or toaster available, use of electrical appliances such a hair dryer or straightner is not possible. Parking is available at the cottage. Access to the property is along 8km dirt / gravel road from Machadodorp/Entokozweni. The dirt roads in the area are very popular with mountain bikers and for high altitude athletic training. In summer heavy rains often make the roads ver muddy and high-wheel base vehicles are advised. The owners live on the property and are available should there be any issues. Cottage will be serviced once a week for long term stays. For short term stays daily servicing including cleaning and washing dishes can be arranged at an extra cost. Firewood available from the owner, the wood box will be full when you arrive after that you can purchase. As the cottage share the site with a creative and performing arts centre, there may be performers rehearsing and training on the property between 9:30am and 5:00pm on weekdays. The cottage is located 8.8 Km along the R541, off the N4, between Machadodorp and Dullstroom. Set on a beautiful farm off a dirt road, quiet, breathtaking views, great birdlife, long walks and trails. A 40 min drive to Dullstroom if you would like to enjoy a meal and a meander. No public transport, but hiking, walking, fishing and mountain biking are great activities that you can do in the area. There are trails here, Dullstroom, Waterval Boven and surrounding areas. Also available on site is a large outdoor deck with amazing views. During week days the deck is used for dance classes and rehearsal, guest are welcome to make use of it over weekends. Other spaces available through the arts centre include 2 x dance studios. Use of these spaces is by prior arrangement.
