Family weekend house by the castle - Apartment A

This house is our family heritage. It has been recently redecorated, respecting the old spirit of the place. Our father is a carpenter and this house is impersonating his incredible skills. Each member of our family has given part of himself into this project and that is what makes the house special and cozy. There are 2 apartments for rent in our house, each has its own kitchen and bathroom and one or two bedrooms. This apartment is located on the first floor and has a splendid view of the surrounding countryside. The second apartment is on the ground floor so our guests can enjoy privacy. Our huge garden with mature fruit trees offers lots of space for residents of the house. On the ground floor, there is a common room that can be used for different kinds of purposes such as celebrations or dancing hall. On the ground floor, there is also a room that can be used as bike storage, since Bezděz is surrounded by beautiful forests with bicycle paths. It is important to mention the huge and splendid garden attached to the house where everybody can enjoy the castle view when relaxing in the hammock. There is also a sitting area with barbecue facilities, a pingpong table, a sandpit, and two swings for children. One member of our family (Jiří, Zuzana or Anna) will always be there to welcome you and explain how things work in our house. Moreover, we can give you some tips about what is nice to see. Our house is located in a village called after the castle - Bezděz. It is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and do interesting trips and leisure activities. This delightful corner of northern Bohemia can boast important monuments and unique nature. The local landmark is undoubtedly the Bezděz castle, which is located just half a km away. It proudly rises above the village Bezděz, high on a hill about 604 m. In the castle, you can see for example the early Gothic chapel with a cross vault, preserved fortification walls, or big tower, which is accessible as a lookout. A Famous tourist attraction is also the large Macha Lake (6 km from Bezděz). The romantic landscape around the popular water area is crisscrossed with ravines mysterious and special rock formations. The longest sandy beach of Macha's lake is ideal for relaxation and water sports, including popular windsurfing. To get to the village a car is the best option. When driving through the village, you might be stopped and asked to pay the parking fee. Tell them that you are going to visit Eifler's family and they will let you go. You can park in our garden or in front of the house. If coming by public transport, the bus stops by the pond in the village and after you just walk 5 min up the hill. Ask for restaurace Vyhlídka, our house is just opposite to it. In case you take a train, you will have to walk quite a long distance since the train station Bezděz is down the hill. You might try to hitchhike. All the cars coming up are going to the Village and normally they are willing to take you.
