Apartment Elia, Managros Rooms
A comfortable two roomed apartment with a bedroom and kitchen/sitting room. The bedroom has a double and a single bed. The kitchen area is well equipped with a fridge freezer and small oven. The sitting area has a sofa bed which opens to a small double. The sitting room has a ceiling fan. Floor or table fans are available for the bedroom. The shower room is at the end of a short corridor. The corridor has a large storage cupboard. A covered sitting area is outside with table and chairs. Elia is on the upper ground floor of a house in a rural area just 300m from the beach. It is reached by a small flight of steps. There is outside seating in a covered area or under a shaded pergola. The house has a large garden full of olive and fruit trees. Guests should be aware that we have pets - a dog and several cats - all very friendly! We also have a few chickens. However, because of this, we do not allow guests' pets. There are many areas that are not child friendly, so, in the interests of safety, we must also request no young children. Many areas are available for guests to relax and entertain. A large BBQ, a firepit area, a traditional outdoor oven, hammocks under the shade of an oak tree and many stone seating areas. We live in Volissos, but will be at the house most days to look after the land and animals and can happily offer help and advice. Managros is a quiet rural area with few houses, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. It is renowned for the long, uncrowded beach. There is little natural shade, but umbrellas and long chairs are available at the nearest beach bar at the Limnia end of the beach. We highly recommend renting a vehicle in order to explore the area and the rest of the island. There is an infrequent bus service to Chios town and, in summer, at the weekend a ferry to Psara from Limnia. -
