Inimitably presented with descerning care to ensure a self catering holiday of a lifetime ,Brigand Cottage nestles in a seascape of blue surrounded by meadows and rolling sand dunes stretching out along a ten mile beach of golden unspoiled splendour. Originally only the ground floor of this traditional stonebuilt fishermans cottage was inhabited by the families with the upstairs and roof space used to make and mend lobster pots.This was converted into two bedrooms, the master with king size bed ,the second with two singles.Lots of cupboard space and leaded dorma picture windows with extra wide sills looking west over fields to the woods and ruined Peel Tower. Downstairs the living room retains the original oak beamed ceiling and inglenook fire place with log burning multi fuel stove. The kitchen with solid pine units enjoys a supply of hot water via the recently installed gas central heating boiler. The bathroom which has an electric shower over the bath and the breakfast/day room are all on the seaward side of the cottage giving access via the patio and lawned garden over a quiet lane and through the private courtyard with barbeque facilities to the cliff top terrace.The beach and rock pools are immediately below and accessed via a 100yd stoll to the end of the lane . arrival may be at the front or the back of the house, (depending on your sat. nav.) The front street is best for easy offloading. Parking is very safe on the quiet road at the front . On arrival receive your welcome pack and personal greeting from your hands on English speaking host who lives locally and will be available throughout your stay. situated on the north east coast line, this part of Northumberland abounds with a plethora of unspoiled beaches, ancient castles ,country houses and charming villages, complimented by a vast area of moorland streching north to the Scotish border and west to Hadrians Wall and the Lake District.Here the Cheviot and Pennine hills dominate replete with forests, lakes, waterfalls and lazily meandering rivers.The ideal location to relax at will and explore at leasure. A car is advised A one hourly bus service is in operation to local terminal conections. Great for day trips. ( Specially if you have a bus pass.!) Maximum 2 Dogs stay free and are most welcome. The cottage is not suitable for wheel chairs.
