Idyllic Cornish Gem Near The Sea!

Enjoy an idyllic stay in a private & peaceful retreat within walking distance of one of the country's most beautiful beaches! In additional to the two standard double-rooms & spacious kitchen-dining-sitting room, there is a tree-top terrace for sundowners (children must be supervised) & a sheltered outdoor spot for dinner & afternoon snoozes. Very private in a beautiful little hamlet, you can either stay & relax or explore the nearby hidden beaches! KITCHEN-SITTING-DINING ROOM Recently refurbished to a wonderful and authentic standard. The room has a Rayburn, an induction hob, modern oven and fridge which you are more than welcome to use. There is a space in the freezer in the back store room. The TV has all freeview stations. Wifi can be used throughout to take advantage of my Sonos or your streaming services. MY STUDY Is essentially my private work room. BEDROOM 1 1 x double bed BEDROOM 2 2 X 3' beds which can be joined together if required. ROOM 3 There is a small box room. BATHROOM Bath, basin, shower and lavatory radiator heated from rayburn plus an electric heater GARDEN Large private garden featuring a lawn (great for children and adults alike!), vegetable patch, bird feeders, sheltered outdoor-eating/reading area and tree-top terrace! (This is not safe for children unless they are well supervised). N.B. - a second toilet is in the bootroom - wifi throughout the house - stairs are steep but accompanied by a handrail. Heating is from the rayburn plus two electric heaters. The whole house! One room will be closed off for personal storage and my study is not for use. I'll pass on my local knowledge and tips for enjoying the neighbourhood away from the tourist crowds! I may be here to help sometimes. Situated in a quiet hamlet away from any traffic! I overlook the beautiful Penberth river valley. Furthermore: St Buryan (with its corner shop, Post Office and pub) is a three minute drive A short walk down the valley takes you to the Logan Rock at Treen, the nearest popular local pub. There is also an organic farmer who sells organic milk and eggs at the farm gate. Penberth cove is a NT owned fishing cove and is a 20-minute walk or five minute drive Penzance is 20 minutes away with shops, cinema,the listed sea water Jubilee pool, and art galleries including the Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange. Lovely sandy beaches 15 minutes by car at Porthcurno and Porthchapel A hidden beach and one of the most beautiful is at Pedn Vounder. An abundance of stunning coastal and rural walks nearby. The Minack open air theatre is 15 minutes by car SURFING A world-class surfing beach at Sennen (no exaggeration) is a 15 minute drive away, complete with a great surfing school for beginners. KIDS For kids, both a seal sanctuary and the Eden Project are roughly an hour and a half drive away. The surfing school above is excellent for children while Lands End is a 10 minute drive away. Penzance in the nearest hub, accessible by First Great Western rail services. From there, Tresidder is roughly a twenty minute car or taxi drive. Newquay International Airport is an hour's drive and only a 40 minute flight from London. West Penwith (Penzance and westwards) is serviced by buses, however they're fairly infrequent so I'd recommend using a car to get around. Taxi services are available - Uber less so! (Read, not at all!) There is a converted barn next to The Farmhouse which is tenanted. It has separate access and is its own self-contained unit, though one window overlooks a small part of the garden. Occasionally, if I am there, either myself or the gardener will come to tend the vegetable garden which is further away from the house. It does not affect the flower garden which is next to the house and we will keep away so as not to disturb guests' privacy. However we may have to use the outside tap (which is outside the back kitchen window) if the weather is hot. Every effort will be made to try to use it when guests are out.
