This exceptional home, with over 510 m² (5,500 ft²) open living space on two floors, provides the perfect retreat for unforgettable holidays and escapes. MAIN FLOOR The main floor is fully ambulatory and features a large living space with custom furnishings. With high ceilings and sliding doors across the entire terrace, the space is completely open to easily transition from indoor to outdoor living areas, all with spectacular ocean views! The open sitting area is perfect for relaxing, playing games or just appreciating the view. Enjoy dinners and sobremesa at the large, custom crafted dining table – truly a piece of art! The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, including two full-sized refrigerators. A large island offers additional cooking, eating and entertainment space. The pantry is where you will find the washer and dryer, beach towels and games, and the second refrigerator. Just off the pantry is a two-piece bathroom, which is also accessible from the terrace. The main floor also has the fully accessible Yucatán Suite with a king bed, hammock, a/c, ceiling fan, built in chargers, terrace and full ensuite with two sinks and extra large shower. POOL AND TERRACE Enjoy the infinity pool—perfectly refreshing! The extremely spacious terrace is ideal for sunbathing or relaxing under the covered lounge area, complete with hammock. The outdoor dining table comfortably seats 12. With spectacular panoramic views, watch the sun rise and set, wave-watch in the day and stargaze in the evenings. The stairs from the terrace lead to the outdoor shower and path to the beach (just 60 steps away!). UPPER FLOOR The upper floor of Casa de Arena has three bedrooms, each with a king bed, hammock, a/c, ceiling fan, built in chargers, terrace, full ensuite and an unobstructed view of the Gulf of México. The Azul Suite also has a day bed (two individual beds). All the bedrooms lead to the large terrace which spans the width of the house. Offering a space (and an outdoor hammock!) that is a little removed, the terrace has a breathtaking view. Ideal for meditation, yoga, birdwatching, etc. THE BEACH AND GULF Just 60 steps from the house is the wide, white sand beach and Gulf of México. Given the remote location of Casa de Arena, the beach is extremely quiet and private where you can walk, and walk, and walk while enjoying the solitude. What you will encounter is flocks of flamingos, birds of all kinds and fishing boats off in the distance. The Gulf water is warm and mostly calm. With the shallow shore you can walk far into the water and still be only chest high. Guests have access to entire home. There are very few neighbouring homes so the beach is extremely private and quiet. The Host/Property Manager is readily available to assist with making connections to service providers for you to make arrangements for your needs. Physically present in Sisal, fluent in Spanish and English and well connected to local sources for excursions, cooks, etc. Sisal, located on the Gulf of México, is a typical, relaxing fishing village. Quiet. Safe. Sisal is located 20km west of Progresso, on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. From Mérida, Sisal is an easy drive, taking approximately 50 minutes.
