Less than 1 hour from Dublin City Centre & Airport. **Minimum stay is 15 nights** If you want the best of town & country, love a bit of period detail without sacrificing modern conveniences and need a perfect place to chill out at the end of a busy day at the races, shopping till you drop, walking or biking in the wilds of Wicklow, then look no further! We refurbished this 1890s French-built estate cottage in 1995 and extended it again in 2003 to create the unique space it is today. Cosy living rooms and study (with piano!) open into a spacious and bright kitchen/living area with double-height atrium and glass block wall for maximum light and out to a leafy town garden. For horse racing & eventing fans, Punchestown, Curragh and Naas races are easily accessible. For shopaholics, check out Kildare Village Outlet Centre near the Curragh. Naas, pronounced ("Nace" to rhyme with Race) just 35km south-west of Dublin, is County Kildare's county town, a bustling market historic market town with a long standing reputation as a "nice place to shop". Once the home of the High Kings of Ireland, it continues its association with horse-racing - the Sport of Kings - and all things equine. We love the great selection of coffee shops, lively pubs, restaurants and the Saturday farmer's market just across the road which is not to be missed. The wild hills of west Wicklow are within easy reach, where endless hours of walking, hiking, biking and some of Ireland's greatest scenic views await, topped off by dinner at one of Ireland's most awarded restuarants, The Ballymore Inn in nearby Ballymore Eustace. There's drama and music a-plenty at the Moat Theatre, Naas, and Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge, a multiplex cinema, as well as music and set-dancing in local pubs if you fancy stepping out! We also love being within easy distance of Dublin when a big of city-slicking culture is required and if you're heading south to Kilkenny, Cork, Waterford, Limerick or Kerry then you're already on the right road. Bus Eireann and Kavanaghs services to/from Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport Dublin Coach services to Dublin Aiport Bus Eireann services to/from Cork and Limerick Local bus services to/from Newbridge Bus linking Naas town centre with Sallins train station for trains to Dublin and Kildare We like a bit of comfort when we travel. That's why you'll find the house fully kitted out with everything you need in the kitchen, a few basic foodstuffs and a reasonably well-stocked cook's cupboard so you don't have to shop for absolutely everything. You'll also find crisply laundered, 5 star hotel-quality bed linens and plenty of towels.
