This is a beautiful home located at the end of the Ring peninsula, with spectacular views from all the main rooms of Dungarvan Bay and the Comeragh Mountains. Helvick Harbour, Sólás na Mara seaweed baths and a swimming cove are all on the doorstep. 15 minutes drive from the house are Dungarvan town, with its many restaurants and bars, three 18 hole golf courses, the Greenway walking and cycling path and Ardmore town. 5 minute walk to local pub and bus at doorstep to Ardmore & Dungarvan. The house is open-plan, split-level with mature gardens both to the front and rear with a patio to the rear for dining. The house was shortlisted for the RIAI architect awards and has featured in the Sunday Times and Select Interiors magazine. It comprises a very large open plan living area, 4 bedrooms off an open corridor, a cloakroom, utility room and 2 bathrooms. The views from the main room across Dungarvan bay to the Comeraghs are panoramic & everchanging. They benefit from lots of activity on the water in front of the house - lifeboat, fishing boats, leisure boats and yachts. The entire house is open to guests. Open living area with corridor access to bedrooms. Front deck for evening drinks. Garden table, chairs and barbecue are on site . The Ring peninsula is an unspoilt area, with wonderful walking, cycling , 2 harbours and a cove all within 15 minutes of Dungarvan and 25 minutes of Ardmore. There are many beautiful beaches within 20 minutes drive and kayaks/dinghies may be launched from the harbour below the house. Ring College which offers many Irish courses is located 5 minutes drive away. This is a Gaeltacht area so there are lots of opportunities to improve your Irish. Taxi service is available. A new bus service runs during the day to Ardmore & Dungarvan (25 minutes to either destination) and a night bus service is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The bus service links up with other Localink services to Lismore and other places. There are internal steps as it is a split level house. Bedroom 4 has 2 bunk beds. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds or a king bed, depending on your requirements. Depending on other bookings it may be possible for early luggage delivery or late departure.
