Przysiółek Flądrówka - stare siedlisko górskie
Our house is a quiet place in the Beskid Wyspowy (Island Beskid) mountain range, with a view of the Gorce and Tatra Mountains. It is located above the village of Szczawa, at an altitude of 800 m above sea level. Only a few houses nearby, surrounded by a forest and a meadow, it is an ideal place to relax for those who want to slow down for a few days, calm down and commune with nature. The house has 3 bedrooms (two with double beds and one with bunk beds, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower, the other with a bathtub overlooking the mountains), a living room and a kitchen, and there is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for 2 people. The Szczawa village is located 70 km from Krakow, on the border of the Island Beskid and Gorce Mountains, quiet and uncrowded mountain ranges. There are days when it is difficult to meet another tourist on the local trails. These mountains, however, offer beautiful views and still wild nature. It is the perfect place to take a break from the everyday hustle and bustle. The house itself is located near (about 20 minutes) the trail to the highest peak of the Beskid Wyspowy - Mogielica (1170 m above sea level), from where there is a beautiful view of the Tatra Mountains, and in autumn you can admire the phenomenon of inversion (the peaks then protrude above the clouds, like islands at sea). Lots of wild animals live there, including lynxes and lesser spotted eagles. Around Mogielica there are prepared ski and bicycle routes (there is also a bicycle and cross-country ski rental). In Szczawa you can drink a mineral water. The surrounding area is also famous for local products, such as Śliwowica Łącka (plum trendy) , local apples, proziaki (local bread) or Suska Sechlońska (dried plum) and smoked sheep cheese. Pieniny Mountains, Czorsztyńskie Lake, and many mountain towns like Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Szczawnica, Piwniczna-Zdrój, Krynica, the Tatra Mountains, Zakopane, the High Slovak Tatras and of course Krakow, which offer plenty of attractions, are within a short (1-2 hours) journey by car. Our house is located far from the center of the village, there are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. You have to go down to use this type of service. The paved road is only partially, very steep. In summer you can get here by car, in winter you need a 4x4 drive, or you can walk 15 minutes on foot :) For some people it may be an inconvenience, but that's what makes this place so beautiful and peaceful. If you prefer to have shops, restaurants or various attractions at your fingertips, you may not feel comfortable here.
