Enjoy a stay within The Old British School House in the vibrant Market town of Oundle. The house is situated within walking distance of the town centre, which offers many unique shops, bars, restaurants & regular markets. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac in a "no through" way, so there are no passers by or traffic near the house. We offer breakfast basics, chateau sourced wine, & White Company bed linen for a great nights rest. There are ballustrades each side of the house so it is not recommended for toddlers. There is a parking area for two cars in front of the house, accessed at the bottom of the cul de sac. The garden, patio area & house face the parking area. Your host is available via phone/text/e mail and resides a short distance from the property so is on hand if required. We keep information leaflets about local restaurants, pubs, and things to do locally, at the house Oundle is a beautiful stone built market town divided by alleyways & courtyards. Surrounding villages, ancient woodland and the River Nene mean there is so much to explore. Lyveden New Bield, Apethorpe Palace and many amazing old English pubs are just a few points of interest within a 5 mile radius. The house is in the heart of Oundle, so you can step out the house and walk to Beans Coffee Shop, Barnwell Country Park or the Talbot Inn. There is much to access on foot from the house, cycling routes are also popular. Bus routes from Oundle go to Peterbrorough, Kettering, Corby. There are numerous footpaths & bridleways to access if walking is your thing. You can also hire canoes at the waterfront and travel along the river for a different viewpoint!
