Mountain Retreat - 4X4 Access

Room 1 - super-king, extra length bed (can be converted to a twin room if necessary). Room 2 - King bed. Room 3 - bunk bed. The open plan layout of the central living space combines a large, modern kitchen area with gas stove and oven and ample workspace, a casual dining area with a wood-burning fireplace and a comfy lounge area that looks out over your private deck to the mountains and valleys beyond. The large deck area off from the main lodge has an outdoor dining set and comfy loungers where you can relax and watch the world drift slowly past. We have built a braai area down off the deck, overlooking the incredible views below. There are two main bedrooms, one with a King bed and the second with a super-king bed that can be converted to a twin room if necessary. The third bedroom is a bunk-bed room suitable for kids under 12. There are 2 bathrooms leading off the main bedrooms, complete with unique indoor/outdoor showers which you access through a door in the shower, toilet and basin, complete with our luxury, Eco-friendly toiletry range. There is no wifi at the Mountain retreat however you will find cell signal. We have stocked the lodge with board games and cards to make sure that there is something to keep you entertained (although we think the view and the game that is frequently seen around the lodge is more than enough entertainment!) Guests who book the mountain retreat are more than welcome to take advantage of our entertainment at our Stoneyvale Cottage area which is a 10 minute drive through the reserve. There is a pool, kitchen, bar and lounge area as well as a sand boma. Access does require a 4x4 or high-rise vehicle / bakkie. The entrance through which you access the Mountain Retreat is a 20 minute drive from Grahamstown, and you will need to allow for a further 15/20 minutes driving through the reserve to reach the lodge. We are always available should guests require anything during their stay.
