Charming Provencal farmhouse with exceptional views and exposure
The Hautes Granges lodging is distinguished by its exposure, its panorama, and its calm. It is located in the Provence Alps, halfway between Sisteron and Buis les Baronnies. Nestled on the side of an exploded hillside facing south, in the heart of a 10 hectare property, this tastefully renovated farmhouse offers the charm of old stones and all the elements of comfort essential for a stay of true rest or relaxation. We are 30 minutes from the small town of Sisteron and 800 meters above sea level. Access is via a carriage track on the edge of the village of Curel. It runs along the side of the mountain and is regularly maintained. All types of cars can access. The calm of the place is guaranteed. About fifty meters connect the parking lot to the house. You access the gîte by going around the building from the north. The access is private and gives on the hall of the upper part of the house, which serves the rooms and the toilets. A staircase leads down to the ground floor, that is to say the large vaulted kitchen / dining / living room of 40m² which leads directly onto the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped. There are all the necessary equipment and household appliances. The swimming pool is located just below, under the terrace. It can be used from June to September. (shared access with the owner) Upstairs two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) equipped with cupboards (wardrobes and shelves) as well as a pretty mezzanine (with a single bed) allow rest and isolation. The lobby on this high level is large and has a reading corner and library. A pretty bathroom and an independent WC complete the floor. The interior volumes are vast, the living room is always cool in summer. The house is isolated, surrounded by nature, in the center of a pasture for horses and oak forests. The sky and the air are extremely pure. It is an ideal place for lovers of rest, walks, hikes and swimming. In the surrounding area, numerous paths allow hiking on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The place is the seat of a discreet agricultural activity. The horses of the house can come to graze nearby, an apiary is installed a hundred meters away, adorable cats and a dog can come to greet you during the day. Local producers provide basic products, such as vegetables, bread, or other excellent food. A small market on Friday morning in St Vincent sur Jabron, 15 minutes away, allows you to stock up on fresh local products. The gîte is completely independent. At the other end of the building, not overlooked, houses the owner of the premises. Farmer, beekeeper and horse riding teacher, she will bring you her knowledge of the place, with discretion, if you wish, as well as all the information necessary for the success of the stay. When you have arrived at the Hautes Granges gîte, the most difficult thing is to leave! It is therefore advisable to provide a good supply of food at the start of the stay, so that you can take full advantage of the premises!
