As well, there is lot to see and do in our area and we will gladly help you find the right activities for you and your group. We're located in Almaguin Highlands, between Huntsville, Algonquin Park, Parry Sound and North Bay. Our brand new self-contained 3 bedroom unit is all on one level with a private entrance. Beautiful natural setting for some relaxation and rejuvenation. Generous continental breakfast is complimentary and it includes eggs from our own chickens. We also have a fire pit, barbecue, sports gear, playpen, high chair and toys for your use. You can book the entire unit for $275 for up to 6 people. ($25 per extra person) Search Maple Ridge Retreat online to find our website. The rental unit is a self-contained private space with its own entrance. You are welcome to enjoy your own patio and use the fire pit. (fee for firewood). You can explore the trails on foot or in winter with snowshoes. Since we live upstairs, we are readily available to help you, but we respect your privacy. We are happy to help you find local activities and outings, so you can experience some of the hidden treasures of our region, the Almaguin Highlands. Sprucedale is one of the many quaint "Villages of Almaguin." Several nice beaches and lakes for swimming, boating and fishing are nearby. There are trails for hiking, snowmobiling and ATVing. Hwy. 518, which goes right through Sprucedale, is a scenic drive, enjoyed by cyclists and motorcyclists. We are just outside of the village of Sprucedale, so there isn't any public transportation! We are very centrally located for snowmobilers and there is plenty of parking. Come experience off-grid living! Our entire property is powered by solar. We do have a dog, although he stays in our part of the house. If you want to bring a dog, please check with us first.
