Welcome to The Grateful Bed, your base for the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities of the New River Gorge National Park. Located on 1.5 acres, this spacious, family-friendly house with private back yard is conveniently located right off of Highway 19. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen or take a short drive to the eclectic shops and exceptional restaurants of Fayetteville. Just 3 minutes to Kroger grocery, 10 minutes to the New River Gorge Bridge, and 11 minutes to ACE Adventure Center. Enjoy the vibe at The Grateful Bed, a mix of eclectic and vintage, with plush couches and chairs, tall ceilings, and two living rooms. Multiple families in your group can spread out, relax, and enjoy each other's company. This spacious house comfortably accommodates 8 people in 3 full-sized bedrooms with 4 queen beds + 1 nursery room equipped with a crib. There is room for even more people (up to 12 + a baby) with flexible sleeping options: 1 futon in the 1st bedroom, 2 futons in the upstairs living room, + an optional twin floor mattress. *So The Grateful Bed can stay a healthy place for family members that have allergies, no pets are allowed.* The Grateful Bed is extremely convenient, located seconds from US-19, the main artery you'll use to get to world class whitewater, rock climbing, ziplining, mountain biking, and all sorts of other adventures just minutes away. Equipped with high speed WiFi and 3 smart TVs in both living rooms plus one downstairs bedroom. Balance your activities with relaxation and family time. You'll find a kids’ coloring table, a stocked game and puzzle chest, a Wii and an XBox360 (which also plays DVDs), a covered outdoor ping pong table, a fire pit, and a hammock. There is even a fully playable vintage pump organ! Fire up the grill (propane provided) and spend some downtime on the back deck. Or utilize the fully equipped kitchen, well-stocked with coffee, pots and pans, and basic spices. A full dining room that seats 6, and a high chair and charcoal grill are also available. Full-sized washer and dryer are located in a room adjacent to the kitchen. We use 100% cotton sheets and bedding. Located just off of US Route 19, the main artery that leads through the New River Gorge. Minutes from Fayetteville. 1 covered parking space and 2 additional parking spaces are provided. This house is located at the edge of a residential neighborhood, just off of US-19. The Grateful Bed is buffered from US-19 noise; there is some traffic on Summerlee Road. This house sits on Summerlee Road, which has its own dedicated exit off of US-19 between Oak Hill and Fayetteville. It is less than a minute from US-19. Guests have access to 1 covered parking space and 2 additional parking spaces. More off-street parking spaces are available with prior approval from the host. There are stairs(with a door that can be kept shut) to the second story living room and bedroom and a fairly busy road out front. Sleeping spaces can accommodate 12, but the house is best suited for up to 3 couples or families. Your hosts are two moms of adventure families, so we made this space welcoming for families with children of all ages, with available outlet covers and a downstairs door that prevents access to the staircase. That said, it is up to each visitor to baby proof/make the available space safely appropriate for your infant/toddler/child.
