This wonderful family home, surrounded by our beautiful garden, is just ten minutes from the Angus Glens and a few easy minutes from the A90. There are 3 lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (for up to 6 guests) available to guests. They are all warmly decorated and hugely comfortable. We hope you enjoy our peaceful retreat!It is ideal for golfing at Carnoustie, hill walking Angus Glens, Stalking, Shooting, Fishing, Glamis Castle & sandy beaches half hour. Fab Drovers Inn pub drinks/dinner 4 miles! Bedrooms The bedrooms are all spacious with lovely white linen, fluffy towels and cosy beds. The first King bedroom shares a bathroom with our twin room and the second King bedroom has a bath/shower room next to it. Sitting Room Get cosy in our sitting room with Sky tv, a brilliant wood burner (woodburner must be closed at all times) and host of books or films. We have shut off the main dining room and our family room for ease but you won't be short on space :) We have closed our bedroom and our two children's rooms but otherwise the place is yours for the stay :) Kitchen & Utility There is a large country kitchen with a good table that seats six, a wonderful AGA and lots of kitchen kit which you’re welcome to use. Should the sun be shining, there is also an outside table which we definitely recommend using! Next to the kitchen is a large utility/boot room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a warm boiler room for wet coats and boots :) Gym Just outside the back door we have a gym/fitness room that is great if you plan on Yoga (lovely local instructor can be organised if you would like it) or fancy an exercise session. There is a bike, treadmill, fitball and bosu too which you are welcome to use. Dogs We are dog friendly for one dog. Please let us know when you book. We have a dog space in the utility/boot room which is all yours if you will be bringing yours. All additional info will be shared upon booking :) You will access the front & back doors and have a large country kitchen, a large utility/laundry/ boot room. An office space. Downstairs Loo. A sitting room with sky tv. Two wifis. Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You can use the gym/fitness room too. We come and go as a family but it is rare that our visits will coincide. I’m always available on my phone and if you ever need someone to come over during your stay then we have 2 great neighbours in the village who are on hand to help if need be :) That said we’ll leave you to have a lovely stay. We want our guests to be as happy as is possible in our home from home. Have a great time! There is SO much to do in this area if you are outdoors people! The road North towards Aberdeen (50 mins) or South towards Dundee (25 mins) is close by. The real reason to stay in our lovely home is walking the Angus Glens, Birdwatching at Montrose, or fishing and golfing. Shooting or Stalking are also all on the doorstep. You can drive to Aberdeenshire in half an hour over the famous Cairn'O Mount where the view is spectacular. You can walk on beaches in half an hour, the whitest sand of Lunan Bay and the emptiest beach ever... but with a great coffee shop. Dundee is 25 mins south and the new V & A in Dundee is a star attraction of late with Scott's Discovery along side it. Dundee has restaurants galore and cinemas, a theatre and much to do. The big market town of Forfar is 5 minutes away by car where you will find 4 supermarkets, coffee shops, and everything you will need. It is essential you have a car. We have parking at the house and it is a few minutes drive from the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen. There are buses from Forfar to Dundee and local Taxis. But you really need a car to be staying here. It is wise to research the Angus Glens maps as there are many routes within 10 minutes from here. Walks can be as little as an hour up to 5 hours and you can walk to the great Balmoral Estate from the top of Glen Clova. You may see our cleaner Mary or gardener Jim but just let me know if you don't want this intrusion when you stay.
