The studio apartment is a stones throw (5 minute walk) from Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze, 2 of Newquay’s most popular beaches which benefit from golden sand and Atlantic swell for much of the year. It is easy to see why Newquay is known as the surf capital of the UK with some of the most consistently good beach breaks in the south west and a large selection of surf schools and surf shops for beginners that want to get kitted out before jumping in. Even if the surf isn’t pumping, there are plenty of attractions and activities in Newquay with the zoo, aquarium and golf to name but a few. The Surf Studio also sits slap bang on the south west coastal path which will lead you to Porth, Watergate Bay, Fistral Beach, Crantock and beyond. Enjoy the convenience of your own dedicated parking space to allow you to explore further afield by car and discover some of the hidden beaches and attractions of the North Cornwall coast. For those not arriving by car, the Surf Studio is easily accessible with just a 10 minute walk to Newquay train station and 15 minute taxi journey from Newquay airport. With a bus stop just across the road, the Newquay bus stop covers all the towns in the area. Relax after your daytime adventures with a glass of wine on the sheltered terrace then sample the growing foody scene in Newquay town, only 10 mins walk away. It boasts a mouth-watering array of restaurants and takeaways with Mexican, Italian, Tapas and Thai and locally caught fish to, burgers or vegan options to choose from. If you have the energy, Newquay also has a bustling night life with numerous waterfront bars and cafes. At the end of a long day sink into the super comfy double bed with its hybrid matress. For those days when you just want to cosy up indoors, The Surf Studio is ideal for self-catering with everything that you need to keep yourself well fed and fuelled including a 2 ring halogen cooker, oven, fridge, pots, pans and a selection of cooking utensils. The local Chester road shopping centre, just a minute or two walk away has everything that you will need to self cater during your stay including one of the best fish and chip shops in Newquay and 2 cafes as well as some independent shops including a bakery for coffees, pasties, paninis and croissants, a butchers, a green grocers and a Spa. There is also a Tesco Express 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction and a larger Asdas, Aldi, Sainsburys supermarket and plenty of bakeries in Newquay town centre. There is so much to do in Newquay but some of our favourite things include ... -Surfing or body boarding on Fistral Beach then watching the sunset with a beach barbeque. - Listening to the Live music while enjoying a meal with beautiful views of the sea at Lusty Glaze Beach. -An invigorating walk along coastal path with its breathtaking views to Watergate Bay followed by lunch on the beach at The Beach Hut, one the most chilled out eateries around (booking recommended!) - Wandering down to the harbour and take boat trip along the North Cornwall coast, dropping a mackerel line on the way (book in advance). Watch out for the seals in the harbour! - A trip to Newquay zoo followed by a round of crazy golf - A scenic walk to Porth Island followed by a paddle in the sea at Porth beach. - A roam through Newquay town with a stop off for refeshments at the lovely Lewwinick Lodge on the Pentire Headland.
