"Sehr Altes Haus" a rural, old... old house

The 'Sehr Altes Haus' is a unique space for you to experience a relaxing place with history. It is located in a triangle of three cities: one hour driving from Frankfurt, 50 minutes from Fulda and 22 minutes from Alsfeld. The house dates from 1545; it has been rebuilt as a family project since more than 15 years ago. Now it is ready for opening its doors for those loving the old rural German architecture. A big wood stove is the only heating. We are sure you will enjoy your experience! This is an old house with all you need to experience a comfortable time but without luxury. It has been rebuilt with natural materials and trying to keep as much as possible its original material and respecting its architecture. You will be able to admire the beauty of old wooden beams dating from more than 300 years. Between November and March in the cold season: Be aware that the house only counts with a central powerful wood stove that works well, however does not heat up all areas in the house. In the kitchen an extra wooden cooking stove can be used for cooking and as extra source of heat. You are welcome to be here alone or bring your family or friends with you! As guest you have exclusive access to the garden and the whole house. You will enjoy a lot of privacy. Guests can reach us at any time via AirBNB messages or also calling our cellphones. For day-to-day cooking there is a gas stove with a gas zylinder. You should be used to cooking with gas.
