Pele View Cottage by the sea, Cresswell
Pele View Cottage is a beautiful stone-built fisherman's cottage in Druridge Bay, Northumberland, a stone's throw from a stunning seven mile-long beach. It ‘s the perfect place for a family holiday, sleeping up to five people in two bedrooms. Pele View boasts a stunning panoramic sea view from the back, as well as a picturesque view of the medieval Pele Tower opposite, from the lounge and master bedroom. It has undergone recent renovation to provide a comfortable and stylish holiday home. The ground floor is huge and open-plan, with slate-tiled floor, exposed stone walls, wooden beams and traditional oak furniture. There is a large wood-burning stove in the living area for that cosy evening fire, and the kitchen/dining area is clean and uncluttered with plenty of space for everyone around the large dining table. There is a small garden at the rear of the cottage and a wooden bench on the ‘Bank Top’ (the water’s edge) from which to enjoy the sea view. Cresswell is at the southern end of the Northumbrian Coastal Path, and the seven miles of beach at Druridge Bay. It is perfect for walkers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts, and a great base for exploring everything Northumberland has to offer. Guests have seen huge varieties of wild birds as well as seals and dolphins from the cottage. Cresswell is not very well served by public transport; having a car is advisable.
