White beach sand, turquoise sea views. Fisherman's Cottage is in the hub of the village beach vibe. Being right on Mfumwe beach, means you can have your coffee, early morning swim and watch the breath taking sunrise. Feel free to join in the afternoon soccer game. Kite to your hearts desire. Or just watch with a cold glass of wine. The kitchenette is equipped for easy meals but there are restaurants close by. This is authentic Zanzibar. Not for the Resort holiday maker. Join in the fun. The cottage is directly on one of then most beautiful unspoiled beaches in Zanzibar. Watch the fishermen go off to work in the morning and the women tend the seaweed farms during the day. A great location for Kite surfing. It can be a busy, noisy beach at times with sporting activities. For those who love to experiencing the real essence of a country. This is for you. True island style. The entire cottage is for the guests use. One of my team will meet and greet you. You can request be taken on a short tour of the immediate facilities and restaurants in the area as well as the local shop and kite surfing schools. They can assist when needed: Arranging transport for different excursions (Spice Tour, Blue Safari, Stone Town, Jozani forest, dolphins, sailing) Things to do in Jambiani • Snorkeling • Diving • Boat Trips • Jambiani Village Tour • Cycling • Kite-Surfing • Excursions There is a wonderful lady in the village, Karalena who does a fantastic massage. She will bring her portable bed to the cottage. I can highly recommend her. Ask one of my team for her number. Practical details: - Jambiani /Mfumwi village has very small shops with very basic essentials. There is a new super market in Paje called The Village Market. I would suggest that you stock up on basics when coming through Paje. (milk, waters, beers, cash (as atm is sometimes empty and a bit of a drive into Paje), snacks, etc) - Not many places take credit cards so it is good to have shillings on you. Most of the restaurants are accessed through the village or along the beach - A good idea to take a torch for your walk home. Zanzibar has a wealth of activities to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. From those in search of sunset cruises and pampering to the avid adventurer there is something for everyone. There are plenty of taxis available for trips. You can discuss the rates directly with them when organizing your itinerary The local dala-dalas run from Stone Town to Jambiani village, not the most comfortable or fast but definitely the cheapest and most adventurous mode of transport on the island. The minibus/taxi takes about an hour, the dala-dala can take more than two! Taxis can also be arranged from the Stonetown or from the airport for around USD $50. We can send a taxi from Jambiani to pick you up at the airport (45 km 28 miles ) for $40/50 for the ride. Car rental is also an option for about $30 per day. If you arrange your own transport please tell your driver that you need to be near Red Monkey Lodge and Coral Rock Hotel . The cottage is between these two hotels. Right next door to Red Monkey Lodge
