It was in Romanesque style all in stone, whose catchments are located near the limits of the village and close to which, at the time, there was no dwelling. The water came from a particular land, Loureiro. This type of fountain was common, found throughout the district, and with the particularity of all being diving, with a cistern spring. However, in Carviçais, in addition to this type of spring, it had a peculiarity: it had another that ran in spout, inside, through a granite channel. Passing to be used only for watering bricks, when Fonte do Prado was built, it was demolished in 1937, remaining at the time with an opening, later being fully grounded. The stones from its demolition were used in the construction of the Urinal in the Square.
