Ritson Farm, Halwell is a large holiday house, great for families or couples to share exclusively managed by Dart Valley Cottages. Located in the beautiful Devon countryside between Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes; Ritson Farm is perfect for visiting beaches such as Blackpool Sands or Bantham, as well as visiting the picturesque estuary towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth. The Dartmouth Golf Club and Woodlands Leisure Park are both a 10 minute drive away. The house itself is spacious and welcoming; the traditional farmhouse interior has been given a modern twist making for charming yet light and airy rooms. The garden is enclosed with plenty of space. Pet friendly with plenty of parking. Accommodation: The front door opens into a spacious entrance hall with separate cloak and utility rooms, continue through into the large farmhouse kitchen/diner with painted cupboards, gas fired Rayburn, gas and electric hobs, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Dining table and chairs. At the rear of the dining area is the conservatory with access to the garden and the ground floor king size double bedroom with en suite shower, toilet, basin and views looking over the garden. The large sitting, room again at the rear of the property, benefits from a working wood burning stove, comfy sofas, TV and DVD as well as patio doors to the garden. The cloak room at the front has a toilet and plenty of coat and boot space and the utility room is complete with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra fridge space. There is plenty of parking to the front of the house. Upstairs: There are 4 further bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all finished to an extremely high standard. One with a queen size bed (6ft), this can be make up as 2 single beds. A king size double (5ft) and a standard double (4ft,6in), the fourth has a king size (5ft) which can be made up as 2 single beds. The two bathrooms, one with a bath – hand held shower, toilet and basin and the second a shower room with shower toilet and basin. Outside: The garden benefits from a large patio area complete with barbecue and outdoor dining area for 10. A lovely lawn stretches the length of the house and is framed with pretty flower beds and the views stretch over the surrounding fields making this the perfect spot to sit and relax after a day at the beach. One well behaved dog is welcome but beware there are chickens that occasionally escape into the garden. Nearby: Ritson Farm is a short drive from the 2 closest village pubs The Old Inn in Halwell and the New Inn in Moreleigh. The closest towns and beaches are 10 minutes drive away. Availability: In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Friday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Friday changeover.
