The Villa with Hot tub is a hideaway for self-drive, slow travelers looking for peace and privacy. Exclusive accommodation for up to 6 guests, this self-catering mountain cottage is situated close to the Botriver and Hermanus wineries, about 120 kms from Cape Town. Enjoy starry nights floating in the outdoor wood-fired hot tub. Off the grid but with wifi, solar lights, and all the luxury one needs for a complete break. The Villa has 3 ensuite double bedrooms, two with fireplaces. Each bed can be made up as Kings or twins. Good fridge and gas stove with oven . Well equipped kitchen but no microwave. Enough power to charge mobile phones or laptops but not hairdryers. A generator is on offer if required. OPen plan dining area and lounge with fireplace. Large stoep with braai/barbecue and sun loungers. Lovely swimming in the dam, or splash pool which can also be heated in winter or cool summer evenings. Access to our farm and mountain for lovely walks, bird watching, mountain biking and trout fishing. Please bring own equipment. We try to meet and greet all our guests on arrival but are handsoff thereafter and respect their privacy. Gabrielskloof Winery and Botiver wine route in 20 minutes drive away. Creation wines and the Hemel en Aarde also 20 minutes. The One Heaven and Earth venue is 10 kms drive. No public transport. Guests need to have their own vehicle. Take N2 from Cape Town and drive to Dassiesfontein farmstall, which is halfway between Botriver and Caledon, and turn down Waboomskloof rd. We are about 11 kms from this N2 turnoff There are no restaurants on the property but wine farms are about 20 minutes drive away and offer delicious lunches. Your own vehicle is a must for accessing the Villa and for the duration of your stay.
