Hare Meadow Pod is one-of-two glamping pods situated on a working farm surrounded by open fields, livestock and fabulous scenery. At 7m long, 3.2m wide with a 1.5m covered porch area, the pod is perfect for families and couples to enjoy. The wooden decking area with cosy wood burner and outdoor gas cooking facilities really gives you the full benefit of outdoor countryside life with stunning views and plenty of wildlife. On cooler days, the indoor space is lovely and cosy, with excellent insulation and underfloor heating. There are a seating area, breakfast bar and en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, loo, basin and heated towel rail, so plenty of space to spread out and no need to make up beds every night as both the bunk beds and double bed are fixed and don't need to be put away. Inside: The open-plan accommodation area comprises a double bed and two bunk beds, perfect for kids. The kitchenette with breakfast bar is equipped with a sink, pans, crockery and cutlery, microwave, kettle, toaster, two-ring induction hob, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer. Four-seat sofa and flat-screen Freeview TV + superfast WiFi. Adjustable underfloor heating throughout. Outside: Wooden decking area with the additional lawn area and an outdoor wood-burner. Bench-style table with seating. Outdoor two-ring gas hob in the covered porch area. Free-standing BBQ with a lid. Things To Note Hare Meadow Pod can be booked alongside Pheasant Field Pod. One well-behaved dog is welcome, additional dogs by arrangement. There is a GBP5.00 per dog per stay charge. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with complimentary tea, coffee and sugar + essentials. The farm is a working farm with livestock and machinery, therefore guests must not enter the main farm without the farmer's permission and supervision. We must insist that dogs are kept on their lead at all times; we do have our own working dogs, but sheep can lose their lambs and become quite ill if they are worried by a dog, so it is imperative. The Location: There is so much to see and do in the area. Being on a family-run working farm, the fields are full of animals and wildlife so that you might spot some amazing sights. We regularly see Little owls and Barn owls around the farm, deer, bats and many others and for train fans, the Settle to Carlisle railway line runs along the border of the farm. Although it is a quiet line, it is a regular route for some impressive steam trains, and the glamping pods are the perfect place to view them! There is a network of public footpaths all around, and we are happy to point you in their direction for some great walks. If you fancy travelling a bit further, the historic city of Lancaster, the Beautiful Lake District and the stunning Yorkshire Dales are all within an easy 30-minute drive.
