The Maple House

The Maple House has been meticulously restored and updated. The home can sleep up to seven guests with three bedrooms and a full bath. The home also features a beautiful living room with a large brick fireplace, and an open kitchen and dining room area with high ceilinged skylight. The downstairs is a large recreation area with a full bar, television and two extra 1/2 baths. The doors open to a patio overlooking the beautiful Green Mountains. What a fun space to kick back and enjoy! The Maple House was once an integral part - specifically the dairy operation where milk was pasteurized - on the working fram known as Fillmore Farm. The farm was incorporated within the 4,000 acre Colgate Estate. When milk production exceeded the capacity of the Maple House, the building was adapted to process maple syrup into maple sugar. Located in the middle of Colgate Park, the Maple House has been completely updated to accommodate small gatherings and special events. Guests have access to the house, lawns and entire Colgate property while staying at the Maple House. I am available to meet guests or they can enter using our secure lock box for the key. I am always available through text or email for any questions. We are located just outside downtown Bennington. Located less than one mile from the Bennington Battle Monument and Bennington Museum. A 30 minute drive to Manchester, VT where you can shop the designer outlets, grab an ice cream at Ben & Jerry's, enjoy fine dining or hit the slopes at Stratton and Bromley Mountains. A 30 minute drive to Mass MoCa; 45 minute drive to Albany, NY. Great hiking trails located just miles away. Please note that travel restrictions are in place until December 15th.
