Bright, welcoming and nestled in the stunning Brecks countryside, Eden is the perfect getaway for both couples and small families. With a welcome hamper and mini bar awaiting your arrival, superb access to walking and cycling routes Eden is your ideal retreat. With direct access to the main roads We're a short drive from popular attractions: Banham Zoo, GO APE, ROAR! and Snetterton circuit. The beautiful coastline of North Norfolk, the East Coast and RSPB Minsmere are also within easy reach. Eden is a carefully and sympathetically renovated annexe attached to our period home. Offering a bright and airy large family bedroom with a comfortable double bed and 2 singles if required (suitable for young children or teenagers). - A travel cot & high chair are available on request. You have lovely far-reaching rural views to enjoy while sipping your morning coffee. There is also Sky TV and touch sensitive lights beside the bed. You have your own separate bathroom including a brand new shower and bath - perfect after those long days spent exploring the surrounding countryside. Outside the bedroom is a small sofa bed ideal if you’ve just found a tasty book from the well stocked bookcase or just to relax. The kitchen is well-equipped with a small cooker and stove, utensils, toaster, under-counter fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. You can also buy artisanal cheese boards and freshly made pies during your stay from our onsite cheese and pie business, offering fresh produce daily. Complimentary soft drinks and snacks on arrival along with Tea and Coffee also supplied. Outside: To the rear of the property is a suntrap courtyard overlooking the uninterrupted views of Harling Woods and our ponies. There is access to a lawned area, if required. It is the perfect tranquil place to unwind and soak up the beautiful views, especially the sensational sunsets in the evening - possibly while dining alfresco, weather permitting! There is also a bookcase with a growing collection of easy-reading novels, local guides and leaflets giving information on local attractions, walks and cycle rides. Additionally, we have compiled a comprehensive list of local pubs and eateries that are a short car journey or bike ride away should you fancy a night out. Thorpe Forest is a 4 minute car journey and offer breakfast and alfresco dining in the heart of the woodland. As we are a rural retreat with our local village store in East Harling is 8 minutes by car, or 20 minutes by bike. The nearest supermarket is in Thetford 12 minutes by car. We do allow dogs by prior arrangement; we will supply towels and blankets for them. We do however, polity request that dogs are not to sleep on the furniture. For safety our courtyard is fenced, and our perimeter fencing is secure however, we do suggest that they are supervised at all times and where possible kept on a lead. While our annexe is completely private with its own separate entrance it is attached to our family home which we share with our 3 dogs, 2 ponies in their fields, and not forgetting our 2 sons all of whom are very well trained and domesticated.... Surrounding area: Peddars Way starts 1 ½ miles away in the Norfolk and Suffolk border at Knettishall Heath Country Park (or Thetford Station for cyclists) and follows the route of a Roman road for 49 miles (79 Km) to Holme-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast meeting the Norfolk Coast Path at Holme-next-the-Sea. Thorpe Forest is a stone’s throw away and offers exceptional trails for walkers, joggers and cyclists to explore, taking in some of the breathtaking scenery of the River Thet. We are next to Harling Woods which offers a range of public paths that are ideal for a leisurely stroll, jogging and dog walks. Banham Zoo is a mere 12-minute car journey or 30-minute cycle ride away and offers a home to more than 2,000 animals! GO Ape! Thetford is 22 minutes by car and has excellent cycling facilities and the option to hire bikes for a day or by the hour. It is famous for the amazing treetop rope course via which you you can also explore the forest canopy. Forest Live will restart their music festivals with Jess Glynne, Madness, Rag 'n' Bone Man and Keane all playing at GO Ape! in June 2022. Snetterton circuit is 15 minutes by car and 35 minutes by bike and is one of the UK's finest motor racing facilities, not just for competitors but for spectators too. The City of Cambridge is 35 minutes away with Newmarket being only 25 minutes by car. we are available most of the time as we work from home We are situated 1 ½ miles from the start of Peddars Way and back out on to the stunning Harling Woods. with easy access to Thorpe forest which offers an abundancy of facilities for walkers, cyclists and families alike. taking in the beautiful river Thet along the way. we have a superb network of roads and Rail links 10 mins away into London Liverpool Street and the East Midlands Line that runs all the way to Liverpool! Parking is available at the property and storage of bikes big and small also available. Trailers for Snetterton Race circuit can also be accommodated on request. In Norfolk you can choose from miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful countryside, forests and heathland, internationally-important nature reserves, amazing birdwatching, easy-going walking and cycling and fabulous seaside resorts. There’s the unique Broads, Britain’s Magical Waterland and a National Park; Norwich, a fantastic city of heritage, culture and shopping; and the stunning north Norfolk coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Add a Royal residence, countless outdoor activities, a fantastic variety of family theme parks and attractions, historical sights, and some of the country's best fresh, seasonal food and you have all the ingredients for a perfect escape in a unique and diverse environment – and at any time of the year.
