Prices: - up to 2 people from 45 EUR per Overnight stay, each additional person: 6 EUR per night. - Cleaning: up to 3 days € 35, from 4 days only € 25. - Dog per night: € 3.50. - In the winter months (November to March) 4 € per night for heating costs and use of the wood stove. Holiday apartment in the state-approved resort of Schönau / Pfalz, in the middle of the Palatinate Forest / Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve: self-contained apartment (2 floors) with two entrances, accommodation for up to 5 people, 1 living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen. The rocky landscape of the Wasgau with its numerous castles and castle ruins - including the highest castle ruins in the Palatinate - has a well-developed network of hiking, biking and riding trails. The close proximity to the French border enables day trips to Alsace with its numerous sights and - last but not least - top gastronomy. In the village itself there are two restaurants with a tradition going back over a hundred years. Also for short vacationers, trekking travelers, nature lovers: The Buntsandstein rock formations are home to numerous typical plants and animals. Peregrine falcon and common raven can be observed all year round. The wildcat has its largest occurrence in Central Europe. Lynxes from the neighboring Vosges regularly roam the vast forests without a hiker ever seeing them. The Rhineland-Palatinate Nature and Environment Foundation has therefore started a long-prepared LIFE project "Resettlement of lynxes in the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve".
