Top Deck occupies an enviable position in the heart of the village with 180° views across Gerrans Bay, watch the sunrise over Gull Rock to the east, the ever changing nautical vista is always fascinating, one day the view will be azure seas and children swimming on the beach, the next can have crashing surf and dramatic skies. The apartment has been tastefully decorated with a nautical theme and every effort has been made to ensure you have a perfect stay. A Juliet balcony with tri-fold doors and a glass balustrade brings the sound of waves and gulls into the living room and you will feel the relaxation of coastal living washing over you. One of the few properties around Cornwall where the South West Coast Path actually lies inland of the property, although only by 15m. Top Deck overlooks the pretty little harbour where many artists have taken inspiration due to the superb light and there are a number of delightful galleries. The Plume of Feathers public house is nestled in the square and serves local ales and good pub food all year round. Rosevine beach is just to the east of the village it has beautiful golden sands (at low tide) and is over looked by the increasingly famous Hidden Hut. Before you visit try and get on their social media page and acquire tickets to their special outdoor dining events. The owners of the Hidden Hut also operate Tatams under the Harbour Club, during the day you can order up delicious breakfast pastries and coffee and by night they have a wood fired pizza oven and serve stone baked pizzas, topped flatbreads & shawarma kebabs. Pendower and Carne Beaches are further east, National Geographic voted this as the 2nd best beach in the world in 2016! Further west you will find St Anthony Headland and lighthouse which you may recognise as Fraggle Rock from Jim Henson's 1980s TV program of the same name. Accommodation First Floor only: The entrance is at the rear of the property, and you enter into the open plan kitchen, living and dining area with fully fitted units and appliances, dining table and chairs, nautical theme, sofa and chairs, large flat screen Smart TV with soundbar, and a Sonos home sound system. Trifold doors to a Juliet balcony with glass screen and superb views of Tatams beach and harbour, Gerrans Bay and Gull Rock. Family shower room with WC and hand basin. Master bedroom with 5' double bed, sea views and storage, en suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Second bedroom with 5' zip and link double bed that can be made up as a twin bedroom with 2'6" beds. Exterior: There is a shared courtyard to the rear of the property with table and chairs and views of the harbour. Facilities & Services Top Deck has electric on demand radiators throughout but with under floor heating in the shower room and en suite. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, under counter fridge & freezer and a combined washer / dryer. The sitting room has a digital Smart TV with catch up including BBC iplayer and Netflix and a DVD player. The house has unlimited broadband WiFi. An iron & ironing board and hair dryer. A travel cot and high chair are also available. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking in the village square by The Plume of Feathers or in the pay and display car park at the entrance to the village. Smoking is not permitted and dogs are not accepted at Top Deck. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
