Daisy Cottage is a typical cottage with a private stoep overlooking a garden with big trees, aloes, geraniums and bougainvilleas. The cottage has a thatched roof and green shutters. There are terracotta tiles on the floor of the living room-cum-kitchen. There are two bathrooms with showers. Guests especially enjoy watching birds from the private stoep. Free parking inside the premises and wifi is available. Guests love having morning coffee or a glass of award-winning Cederberg wines in the stoep overlooking the private garden. A braai facility is available in the corner of the garden. Guests from Europe enjoy the warm summer months in Clanwilliam. Guests will have access to the entire property. Guests are welcome to ask any questions about the region and we will assist when and where we can. We also leave brochures and maps in the cottage. Guests are also free to do their own thing, should they choose to do so. Guests who regularly visit enjoy the privacy of the stoep and the garden with big trees and quite a few aloes, as well as bougainvilleas. Daisy Cottage is situated in a quiet neighbourhood where bougainvilleas bloom around every corner. Rooibos and light lunches are served at Nancy's Tearoom or at Velskoendraai Farm Stall. The cottage is situated in close proximity of many bouldering sites in the Cederberg. Boulderers, hikers and cyclists often use the cottage as a base to explore the Cederberg, Rocklands and Pakhuis Pass. In winter international and local passionate boulderers visit the word-class site known as Rocklands to practise, compete and enjoy the abundance of rock formations. Thirty-four kilometres from Clanwilliam, over the spectacular Pakhuis Pass, lies Traveller's Rest. At Traveller's Rest the unique Sevilla Trail offers a five kilometre ramble through the world of the San people who inhabited this region. There are nine sites on the trail which offer a stunning glimpse of the rock art that the San left behind. To view the floral spectacle in August and September guests need to venture off the beaten track to see the best wild flowers. Please drive slowly on the gravel roads! Most guests visit this region in their own vehicles.
