Charming cottage

Skipperhuset is a very cosy old cottage with a modern heart. It has been renovated for a comfortable stay. The beach is 1,5 km walking distance from the house. It takes about 7 min by car to go to the nearest supermarket. Stunning nature to be discovered, cultural sites to be found nearby and Copenhagen is only an hour drive. Or do nothing. The house is great for relaxing. Well equipped kitchen, books/games at your disposal. Nice garden with loungers and trampoline The house can be great to use as a base to discover the area or serve as a cocoon to relax and not go anywhere. There is a big sofa to relax on, there are books and games. If you like we can add a tv for you to use. The kitchen is equipped to cook. Inside or outside there are different places to be comfortable. The bedroom has a large and very good bed. The bathroom is basic and not yet been renovated. The surroundings are very peaceful, a perfect place to relax and reset. The cottage has friendly neighbours on both sides. You have the house to yourself. There is a second house on the plot. We might be there sometimes but respect your privacy. The neighbours are connected to the main house. Lovely people who are happy to help but who are also private. Check in can be done with a key box and a code if we are not there to welcome you. We are always available by phone and sometimes we are in the other house next door. Never hesitate to contact us, we are very happy to help you. But during your stay you will of course have your own privacy. Stevn Klint, Møns Klint, both stunning nature to discover. Biking trails, the sea, horseback riding, golf courses and many more activities to explore. Geo Center Museum, Køge, Praesto, Castles.. enough cultural sites to visit too. Copenhagen is an hour drive or take the train. There are different supermarket options. Super Brugsen in Faxe Ladeplads is the closest, Meny in Praesto has a wider selection. There is an organic food farm that sells meat and an egg farm 5 min walk from the house. Car: You can park your car safely and free inside the gate. It is an hour drive from Copenhagen/Copenhagen airport. *** It is best to come by car as you are in the middle of the countryside Public transport is possible though Public transport: There is a train station in both Faxe and Faxe Ladeplads. To continue to our house, you can either prebook a taxi with Dantaxi or take a taxi outside station. You might have to then wait for one. Prebooked taxi is about 150 kr. It is a 10 min drive to the house. There is also a bus. It takes about half an hour. From Faxe or from Faxe Ladeplads. The bus is 37,50 kr from Faxe and 22 kr from Faxe Ladeplads. Bus goes once an hour. You can prebook through Plustur buses. Hope this information helps you.
