Responsible tourism As supporter of the children's initiative Plant-for-the-Planet we are donating per night spent in our holiday flat one tree on behalf of the respective guest. These trees are planted at the Yucatán Reforestation Mexico, where eight different native tree species are placed and cared for and which is proud to have achieved a 94% survival rate. After your departure you will receive via E-Mail the voucher code which gives you access to your individual donation certificate. We have switched completely to green electricity. Information on waste separation can be found in the red guest folder. Cleaning agents we use are of organic quality. We use only use organic plant and horn meal fertilizer. Rainwater harvested from the 270qm / 2900 sq. ft large rooftop is used in the garden's irrigation system. Our solar system allows resource-friendly hot water processing as well as solar backup space heating. Equipped with LED-spotlights and a special daylight-spot which makes the bathroom especially bright and friendly. In case that we are not home to welcome you in person, we will send you self-check-in instructions. However, we are most days around and more than happy to answer all questions you might have. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is your place! Where the fox and the hare bid each other goodnight: our house is in a very quiet residential area and is therefore ideal for those who want to escape every-day-stress. Fields and forests are easily reachable by foot if you fancy taking a walk. There are also quite a few lakes to discover within a 10km / 6 miles range – bike rental available complimentary. Regional rail brings you in half an hour to Berlin Ostkreuz. Only twenty minutes by car the idyllic nature park Märkische Schweiz and health-resort Buckow with its lakes, trails, Nordic-walking and biking routes. Or a good hour driving till you reach Potsdam or the Crystal thermal baths (Kristalltherme) Ludwigsfelde. Train station, supermarkets (Netto, Rewe), surgeries (GP, paediatrician, dentist), pharmacy, ATM, petrol station, post office each about 5 minutes by car away. If you have specific questions regarding touristic offers, personnel at the Tourism Pavilion at the train station in Rehfelde or at the tourist information in Buckow are happy to assist. Our very sociable Maltipoo might try to make friends with you at some point. Should you not be comfortable with that for whatever reason please do let us know and we will not let him walk around off leash during your stay.
