This house is perfect for 2 families looking for a holiday. The house sleeps 9 people, 2 en-suite bedrooms with the other 2 sharing one bathroom, all bathrooms have showers. 1 king bed, 2 doubles (1 with a bunk) and 2 singles. The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge lead out onto a large patio with a magnificent sea view and built-in braai. The kitchen is well equipped with a large double-door fridge, electric hob with extractor fan, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine. There is a dishwasher and the unit is serviced daily from 10am. The house is split into two units, both of which are available to let. Each unit has their own patio and braai area, but the garden and driveway are shared. Situated on the Wild Coast, this bay has a magnificent mile-long beach with many offerings. On one end there is a lighthouse, and pump station from the old titanium mine, massive sand dunes for the kids on sand boards, fishing from both the rocks and the beach. Swimming, surfing and kite surfing are also ideal on the main beach. To the right of the beach, we have the majestic Morgan Bay cliffs rising 60m out of the sea and stretching for 3km through to a nature reserve. These cliffs are perfect for winter whale and dolphin viewing, as well as walking or running along 7km of trails. The village has an estuary where children can play in the shallows with a body board or a bucket and spade. Alternatively, hire a canoe or a Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) and explore the wonderful bird life. The Morgan Bay Hotel offers mountain bikes, sand boards, SUPs, canoes for hire and has a climbing wall which is open at certain times if the week. You are more than welcome to make use of all of the facilities. One can also enquire there about 4x4 and quad bike routes across in the former Transkei. In school holidays the hotel puts a kids program together where your kids can come and mix other children of similar ages. They offer morning and afternoon activities, from organised abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing and sand boarding, to a multitude of other beach sports. The Deck at The Morgan Bay Hotel has a very extensive menu that caters to almost everyone's needs. The restaurant is set just 20m from the beach with a amazing views, here they cater for the whole family and also have musicians over the December school holidays, along with much more entertainment for the kids. Upstream from the estuary you will find Yellowwood Forest where they offer pizza from a wood-fired oven, this is an ideal spot for the kids on a windy day where they have a tree house, hamsters and some bunnies. There is also a lovely 800m forest walk. The Mitford Hotel has a less extensive menu, but also has a great view of the Morgan Bay cliffs. The village has a small general dealer, called the Top Shop ,where one can get all the basics. Fresh fruit and vegetables come in twice a week and the bakery makes legendary rolls. The house is named Knot Far for a reason, as the village is very small so ideally you want to park your can and walk to the beach, hotels and restaurants. If you feel you want to fly in, we can arrange for a shuttle for you from the airport and on the way through the driver can stop off at the supermarket where you can buy your groceries and then all you need is to buy the daily produce.
