Allegheny Mountain Getaway - close to it all!

Our cozy, comfy, clean and quiet farm house is nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Alleghenies powered by solar electric and solar hot water. On the 45 acre property is our century old barn overlooking a beautiful pond. Its peacefulness and wildlife makes it a great getaway from life to relax and unwind. Centrally located to hiking, biking, fall foliage, festivals, shopping, skiing, dining, movies, football and many other attractions. Minutes to pristine hunting in state game lands. Every room is sanitized with a UV light after each guest, so you never have to worry! We finally have HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!!!!! It was a lot of work for us to be able to get it installed, but we want our guests to have a worry free stay, especially if you are working remotely!! We just installed new flooring in the living room and kitchen along with a small Reno in the kitchen as well. Please look at the pictures, we have stairs - 2 sets. There is a large deck and table out the back door along with a small fire pit and propane grill, however the deck is not maintained during the winter months. The property is fenced and the driveway is gated because of a working livestock guardian dog. Guests can come and go by using a code to open the gate when you arrive, it will open automatically during the summer and fall when you leave and close automatically after 5 minutes. During the winter months, you have to enter a code to open the gate located on the garage before you leave. You may hear or see us in our RTV doing chores, it's how we get around the farm. We are always available if you need anything. Guests have access to the entire house, front porch and back deck. Also guests have access to our brand new high speed internet for those of you who need to work remotely, video conference, etc., you can now do it with confidence knowing we have reliable, fast internet! We are available 24/7 and live on the property at the top of the drive. The farm stay is your private getaway. We are also just a phone call away. We are minutes to Rails to Trails for a beautiful biking or hiking experience, downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing. We are 15-20 minutes to dining, shopping and movies. We are centrally located to Pittsburgh for Steeler, Penguins and Pirates, State College for Penn State Football, 15 minutes to minor league baseball. Centrally located for festivals and fairs. 30 minutes to Glendale Lake which you can kayak, canoe, picnic, fish, bike ride, hike, swim and horseback ride. Museums and various other historic sites. State Parks for hiking, picnicking, biking, fishing and some swimming, etc. There is NO public transportation, cell service can be sketchy depending on carrier, but we have a landline or wifi calling with your cell phone, you will need a car to get around....too far for walking or biking and too dangerous on such narrow roads. You can drive to the Rails to Trails and park. Great area to hike, bring your bike too......very close to trails. If you cause any damage or break something you will be charged thru AirBnb if arrangements have not been made with us during your stay.
