The Cottage on Cayuga Lake : Finger Lakes Region

Peaceful and private getaway right on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake. The cottage is perfect for two guests. 350 feet of lakefront = lots of space from neighbors. Relax in the hammock, paddle in the kayaks, grill your favorite food, bird watch, enjoy amazing sunsets, nearby trails, historical sites, farmers markets and wineries! 5G WiFi included. We follow Airbnb guidelines for cleaning and sanitation based on CDC. Enjoy a week or more in a cozy and beautiful spot. There are many great places to stay in the Finger Lakes Region. We want to be sure the cottage is what you are looking for in a getaway and vacation spot so that you have an excellent stay. Don’t hesitate to send along any questions. The Cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed. The front/deck room is also the dining room and has a LazyBoy for reclining. The living room has a sofa that opens up as a queen bed and two comfy chairs. The kitchen is equipped with good cooking pots, pans, and utensils. The ample outdoor deck has a wrought iron table and chairs for outdoor dining as well as two rocking chairs and a hammock. The bathroom is very compact and has a stall shower, small sink, and toilet. We offer spring water for drinking and cooking (in 5 gallon containers in a dispenser). We use lake water for The Cottage for everything except cooking and drinking -- as many places here do. It is a simple and comfortable place to stay as close to the lake as anyone can be! Two kayaks are available. Relax in the hammock. Enjoy meals under the umbrella on the deck and at the picnic table on the lawn. Bird watch: Great Blue Heron, Ducks, Terns, King Fisher. It's a peaceful rustic spot. We only accept bookings for two adult guests . No pets. No smoking. The Cottage has its own private driveway and private entrance. Guests can drive directly to the cottage and park. Guests have use of the whole cottage while here. We are available 24/7 and live close by. You can text or call. The Cottage is located on 4 acres of land with 350' of lake front on the East side of Cayuga Lake which is known as the preferred place for sunsets. The Cottage offers ample privacy for guests. The neighbors are year round residents. Across the main road is a nature conservancy. This combination makes for a peaceful stay where you can enjoy the lake and natural beauty with lots of space between you and the next house. Because we are in a rural area, transportation is by one's own vehicle. The Cottage is right in the middle of the Finger Lakes Region. Easy access to historical sites, parks and trails, wineries, marinas, farmers markets, and more.
