The village Montefegatesi is located in a hilly position (810 m asl), with a panoramic view of the surrounding hilly landscape, in a wooded area. At about 14 km is Bagni di Lucca, at 39 km Lucca with its ancient city walls and the beautiful churches, at 43 km the ski resort (Abetone), at 55 km Pisa with its world famous Leaning Tower, at 60 km Pistoia with its squares and dome, at 62 km Viareggio with beaches and a nice sea promenade, at 66 km Pietrasanta with its art, at 91 km Florence with its monuments and the world famous Uffizi-Gallery, at 130 km the charming villages of the Cinque Terre.
