In the heart of downtown Heritage Perth on the Tay River, your family retreat awaits! This entire property on 2 acres waterfront will only be available as a private retreat for summer! The original 1834 stone home is minutes from Stewart Park and downtown Perth, located on Haggart’s Island. Family friendly with a children’s play area and equipment. Newly decorated and painted boho design is sure to offer a playful touch to your holiday. 2 master bedrooms, 2 new double pull outs, and 2 twins. Fun, cozy designs inspired us for your family Perth retreat. New beds and bedding, fairly traded design from 10,000 Villages, interior stone walls, and whimsical touches make up this home. Walk the many rooms of this home that began as a one room stone cottage for Haggart’s Mill, and kept growing! Enjoy outdoor dining and Edwardian greenhouse, and 2 acre playground to paddle up the river and enjoy a bbq with the big green egg! Equipped for children big and small, and featuring a main floor and upstairs master bedroom. Find out why we call it the ballroom bathroom, with hidden stain glass! We also have chickens on site that are fun to watch, with fresh farm eggs end of summer. Parking for up to 3 vehicles and nearby free parking in front of the Tay. You will have the property to yourself, help is nearby if needed. There are chickens on the property so someone cares for them am and pm for ten minutes, but we do not disturb our guests or come inside. Stay and Play on the Tay! Located on Haggart's Island beside Stewart Park, steps to downtown heritage Perth! Boutique shopping, fine dining, cheese shops, and theatre all make up our vibrant community. There is a vineyard in nearby Westport, a beautiful drive. On our street you will find 2 kayak launches, the Rainbow Bridge, a summer patio with pop up restaurants and pubs, a fenced children’s park, Stewart Park, a swimming area, and a dry stone bridge built for Perth’s 200 Anniversary. Mill Street is THE place to be! Downtown Heritage Perth is a walkable and paddle friendly (kayaks provided). Kayaks and lifejackets will be available to borrow. We have two kayak launches within a two minute walk from the home.
